A Tale of Wonder

The tale of wonder, wrongly called fairy tale is universal. The tales often of unknown author, typically begin with “Once upon a time” or “There was once” or “In golden times”. Events occur one after the other, the action goes on. We follow the hero or heroine without being lost in descriptions and feelings. The story is focused on the essential. The style is sober, condensed and often punctuated with meaningful numbers like three tasks, three trials, seven ravens, seven dwarves, etc… The narrative style is distinctly clear, short and proves a real predilection for beauty and what shines. The tale of wonder does not judge. It is moral in itself. The trials are overcome, deliverance is obtained, justice is done. It always ends well.
